Huawei MatePad Air with ultra thin design, only 509g, priced at RM3,999
Having already launched the MatePad Pro Max and MatePad Mini earlier this year, Huawei is rounding off their tablet lineup with the new MatePad Air. This ultra thin slate features a PC-level productivity suite in a compact and light form factor for on-the-go users.

The 2026 Huawei MatePad Air comes in just a single configuration with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, priced at RM3,999.
However, as part of the launch Huawei is giving out rewards worth up to RM4,503, which includes a RM500 rebate making the price just RM3,499. That’s on top of a free Smart Magnetic Keyboard, a Huawei M-Pencil Pro stylus, a wireless mouse, WPS Office with a 1-year subscription to WPS AI, as well as Huawei Premium Services, while stocks last.
You’ll be able to find the MatePad Air on sale from the Huawei Malaysia website, their official stores on Shopee, Lazada and TikTok Shop, as well as from their retail stores nationwide.
Huawei MatePad Air specs
Available in Sakura Pink, Airy Blue and White colourways, the MatePad Air is built out of an all metal unibody with a pearlescent finish, weighing in at just 509g and measuring a mere 5.3mm thin.
It houses a 12-inch OLED panel pushing a 2800 x 1840p resolution, with a 144Hz refresh rate, a peak brightness of 1200nits and full coverage of the DCI-P3 colour gamut.
Under the hood, the MatePad Air is powered by the Kirin T93C system-on-chip, mated to 8GB of memory and 256GB of storage. It runs HarmonyOS 4.3 out of the box, along with plenty of preinstalled productivity tools such as WPS Office, Filmora and GoPaint.
Keeping the lights on meanwhile is a 10,100mAh battery that is good for up to 10 hours of online video playback, as well as support for 66W SuperCharge fast charging.
As for cameras, the MatePad Air has a 50MP, f/1.8 main camera on the back, while a 12MP, f/2.4 camera sits up front for selfies and video calls. There’s a six-speaker setup here too, along with a dual microphone setup.
That’s on top of stylus support with the M-Pencil Pro, an optional magnetic keyboard case with NearLink, as well as WiFi 7 and Bluetooth 6.0 wireless connectivity.
