Huawei MatePad Pro Max: Ultra-thin flagship tablet with 10,400mAh battery, priced at RM5,999

Huawei has introduced its latest flagship tablet in Malaysia, the Huawei MatePad Pro Max. Following the launch of the ultra-thin MatePad Mini in April, Huawei is continuing its focus on slim tablet designs with a larger 13.2-inch model built for productivity, creativity and entertainment.
Despite its bigger display, the MatePad Pro Max measures just 4.7mm thin and weighs 509g, making it one of the slimmest flagship tablets currently available.

At the front is a large 13.2-inch Flexible OLED PaperMatte display with a 3000 x 2000 resolution, 144Hz refresh rate and up to 1,600 nits peak brightness. Huawei has also equipped it with ultra-thin 3.55mm bezels, allowing the tablet to achieve a 94% screen-to-body ratio. The company’s PaperMatte technology uses nano-level anti-glare etching to reduce reflections while improving viewing comfort.
Under the hood, the MatePad Pro Max comes with 12GB RAM and 512GB storage in Malaysia. It runs on HarmonyOS 4.3 and supports Huawei’s PC-Level WPS Office experience. Huawei has also integrated WPS AI features that can assist with document creation, presentation generation and content refinement. For multitasking, users can open up to three windows simultaneously through Huawei’s Live-Multitask interface.

The MatePad Pro Max supports the Huawei M-Pencil Pro with NearLink connectivity and wireless charging, while the GoPaint app offers professional-grade drawing tools. Huawei Notes also gains AI-powered handwriting enhancement and equation recognition features that can automatically solve handwritten mathematical calculations.
The tablet packs a 10,400mAh battery with 40W wired reverse charging, allowing the MatePad Pro Max to function as a power bank for compatible devices. Other notable features include a six-speaker Huawei Sound audio system, Smart Antenna 2.0 for improved WiFi performance, a 50MP rear camera capable of recording up to 4K video, and TÜV Rheinland certifications covering display quality and structural durability.

To complete the productivity package, Huawei includes the Huawei Glide Keyboard in selected configurations, transforming the MatePad Pro Max into a laptop-like workstation while retaining the flexibility of a tablet.
