vivo V50 Lite now available in Malaysia with RM1,299 starting price
The ‘Lite’ version of the vivo V50 Series has officially launched in Malaysia. The phone is positioned as the more affordable model in the series with a friendlier starting price, all while boasting a handful of key features that could appeal to the mid-segment market.
One such feature is its massive 6,500mAh battery which vivo says allows for up to 27 hours of YouTube and 15 hours of TikTok browsing. Thankfully, it supports a rapid 90W wired charging that juices the phone fully in 52 minutes.
Despite the large battery capacity, the V50 Lite measures a slim 7.79mm. It may come off as flimsy to some, but vivo assures that the device has earned SGS Five-Star Drop Resistance and military grade certification. Meanwhile, an IP65 rating should keep it in good stead against splashes and light rain.
On that note, the phone sports a 6.77″ P-OLED display offering FHD+ (2392×1080) resolution and 120Hz refresh rate.
On photography, the vivo V50 Lite misses out on the ZEISS touch that was evident on base V50 model. Nevertheless, the V50 Lite still has plenty of potential thanks to its 50MP Sony IMX882 main camera as well as its 8MP ultra-wide lens.
Performance is helped by the Dimensity 6300 chipset. In Malaysia, the phone comes in three memory configurations, the prices of which can be seen below:
- vivo V50 Lite (8GB/256GB) – RM1,299
- vivo V50 Lite (12GB/256GB) – RM1,499
- vivo V50 Lite (12GB/512GB) – RM1,699
Customers can choose between three colours: Titanium Gold, Phantom Black, and Fantasy Purple.
The phone is available immediately at all authorized vivo resellers. From now until 2 June 2025, purchases of the vivo V50 Lite at vivo Concept Stores will enjoy exclusive rewards, including a RM100 cash rebate, a pair of vivo Buds (worth RM129), 1+1 years vivo care+, 5-year vivo care+ battery warranty, and 180-day screen protection.
