Logitech G releases two new microphones for streamers: Yeti GX and Yeti Orb
Logitech’s gaming arm – Logitech G – has released two new microphones for your streaming setup. The two new additions are the Yeti GX, and Yeti Orb.
Between the two, the Yeti GX is the premium offering with a RM659 price tag. The Yeti Orb on the other hand is priced at a more affordable RM269. Both microphones are available for purchase in Malaysia at the Logitech G official stores on Shopee and Lazada.
The Yeti GX and Yeti Orb are decked with Logitech G’s LIGHYSYNC RGB technology, which you can customize via the G HUB software. Aside from just RGB lighting, you can also adjust voice effects and filters using the Blue VO!CE software.
Though they are both plug-and-play USB mics, they each have very different designs. The Yeti GX sports an oblong mic capsule, while the Yeti Orb keeps to a spherical form. On that note, the former is a supercardioid microphone as compared to the latter’s cardioid pickup pattern.
On a side note, the two new additions also serve to prove Logitech G’s commitment to eco-conscious products. According to them, the Yeti GX and Yeti Orb contains a minimum of 68% and 74% certified post-consumer recycled plastic by weight respetively.
The paper packaging that comes with the mic is also FSC-certified.
