Whether it’s for competitive uses or simply a way to wind down and relax, having a gaming laptop is a great way to truly experience the full glory of your gaming titles.

If you have no cash issues, we’d say take the most expensive one off the shelf. But we know many of you are on a budget, so we’ll cap it at RM4,000.

Don’t worry, you can still get some really good options in that price range. Here are the 9 best gaming laptops you can get in Malaysia for under RM4000.

1) MSI Thin GF63 12UC 854

The easiest point of reference when you’re looking for a gaming laptop is to search for brands that specialize in gaming in the first place. MSI is one of the best to do it, with a pretty good track record to show for it over the last decade.

They cater to the whole spectrum of gamers; from those just tipping their toes in the gaming world to competitive Esports athletes. And though MSI price tags can reach up to the tens of thousands, you can still strike a pretty good deal under the RM4000 budget cap.

The MSI Thin GF63 12UC is a powerful option packing a 12th Gen Intel Core i7-12650H processor and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 GPU for smooth-flowing gaming experience.

Visuals are decent with a 15.6″ Full HD (1920×1080) display, and the 144Hz refresh rates will do your gaming titles justice.

The core essence of MSI’s Thin GF Series is striking the balance between power and portability. This particular model weighs only 1.86kg, which is impressive considering that most 15″ laptops usually weigh more than 2kgs.

Acer’s Nitro series is always a good option to consider, more so for casual and beginner gamers. If you’re a little more serious, consider the Predator series instead – though they will be costlier.

The Nitro 5 AMD is a pretty strong fit with its Ryzen 5 7535HS processor. You’ll see the familiar NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 GPU here keeping gameplays smooth. It’s a steady 15.6″ laptop, with Full HD resolution. But the standout here is its high 165Hz maximum refresh rates that will give you a competitive edge in first-person shooter games.
