A Look Into DirectD Care – The “Best Device Exchange Program Ever”
DirectD has recently launched a new, “No questions asked” device exchange programme that promises to be easy, hassle-free and convenient.
Dubbed “Your best device exchange plan ever”, the program aims to provide an additional layer of convenience and peace of mind for customers of DirectD, where they would be able to request for a full one-to-one exchange of their devices at any DirectD stores nationwide, no questions asked.
To be eligible for this program, DirectD customers would need to provide an additional fixed sum that is determined based on the duration of the program (6/12/24 months), and the value of the device. This is in addition to the price of the device. Then, a one time Service Request Fee will be charged during the exchange process before the exchange is granted.
As an example, customers of DirectD who purchased the recently launched Samsung A54 (RRP RM1899) would need to pay an additional RM250 for the 12 month DirectD Care plan. Then, during the exchange request a further RM350 Service Request Fee is needed to be paid and the exchange will be granted.
This will bring the total cost of the outlay to RM2499, which would be significantly less than purchasing the same phone outright once again with no DirectD Care Plan in place (RM3798).
Once the program has been activated, customers will be able to return to DirectD stores anytime within the validity period for the exchange process which is promised to take an hour at most. This program is also available for any laptops and tablets purchased from them as well, however smartwatches are not eligible.
DirectD promises a completely hassle free and no questions asked experience with this program, which means that customers would only need to return the device in question (the box and accessories are not mandatory), and any reasons used will be accepted for the exchange!
That’s right, whether it means that your device has received fall or water damage, screen is cracked, or even the fact that you just don’t like the device, the request will still be valid and an exchange will be granted!
We definitely think that this is an incredibly attractive program for anyone that is keen to essentially insure their devices from any unforeseen mishaps, and to do it in a cost effective way to boot. Parents with young children, delivery riders, the elderly, or any adults working in harsh environments should definitely consider this program for the extra peace of mind!
