This is what the Nothing Phone (4b) will look like

By Raymond Saw June 25, 2026

After announcing that there won’t be a CMF Phone this year, Nothing then began teasing a new Phone (4b), a seemingly budget-friendly midranger that sits below the Phone (4a) series. We now have our first look at the upcoming Nothing Phone (4b), and it looks suspiciously like what a CMF Phone would’ve looked like had it been released this year.

The Nothing Phone (4b) is set to launch at 6PM, 7 July local time, and the London-based tech company has finally revealed the design of their upcoming smartphone. As expected, it has just a dual rear camera setup, with an iPhone 17 Pro-esque camera plateau up top. No transparent back panel though, instead replaced with a baby blue design instead.

If we’re being honest, the Nothing Phone (4b) looks quite a lot like the original CMF Phone 1 more than a Nothing Phone does. It’s a coloured back panel just like the bright orange CMF Phones of yesteryear rather than the transparent designs we usually associate with Nothing’s devices. The only thing that links it to the Nothing Phone (4a) though seems to be the Gylph Bar on the back, similar to that on the Phone (4a).

Nevertheless, we’ll only know the full story of the Nothing Phone (4b) when it finally launches on the global scene next month. You can head over to Nothing’s YouTube page and click to get notified so that you’ll know to tune in once they go live on 7 July.
