Mijia Front Load Washer Dryer Pro 12.5kg and Washer 8kg: Smart features with ultra-slim option, from RM1,199
A few months after rolling out its 9kg front load washer and washer dryer, Xiaomi Malaysia is back with more laundry appliances. Announced as part of a wider wave of new smart home products, the headliners this time are the Mijia Front Load Washer Dryer Pro 12.5kg and the more compact Mijia Front Load Washer 8kg.
Mijia Front Load Washer Dryer Pro 12.5kg
The Mijia Front Load Washer Dryer Pro 12.5kg is the all-in-one option, pairing a large 12.5kg washing capacity with 8kg of drying in a single unit. Its 525mm drum is built to take on everything from everyday clothing to bulkier household items in one cycle, and it’s controlled through a touchscreen panel.
On the smarts, it comes with a Dual Auto Dosing system that adjusts detergent and softener based on the load, along with Smart Infusion technology that enables a deep-clean Smart Wash cycle in 32 minutes or a Quick Wash in as little as 12 minutes for lighter loads. Steam washing is said to remove up to 99.99% of bacteria, while smart drying sensors regulate temperature and drying time to avoid over-drying. As with Xiaomi’s other machines, users can schedule and customise cycles remotely through the Xiaomi Home app.
There’s a bit of upkeep built in too, with automatic cleaning that covers the drying duct along with an antibacterial gasket to keep things hygienic between loads. Rounding it off are extras like an Aromatherapy Wash to leave clothes smelling fresh and a Refresh Care mode that helps cut down on wrinkles.
Mijia Front Load Washer 8kg
For smaller homes or tighter spaces, the Mijia Front Load Washer 8kg is the washer-only, space-conscious pick. It offers an 8kg capacity with the same large 525mm drum for thorough cleaning, packed into an ultra-slim 421mm body designed to slot neatly into cabinetry. Its colour touch panel covers more than 28 wash programmes.
Feature-wise, it leans on Power Wash technology and high-temperature steam cleaning, which Xiaomi says removes up to 99.99% of bacteria, plus a 15-minute Quick Wash for lighter loads. Load-sensing tech automatically adjusts water volume and cycle time to the weight of the laundry, and Xiaomi Home app support adds remote control, personalised settings and smart programme recommendations. Rounding things off are conveniences like Refresh Care, a 24-hour delay start and the ability to add clothes mid-cycle.
Pricing and availability
The Mijia Front Load Washer Dryer Pro 12.5kg is priced at RM3,399, but is currently available at an early bird promotional price of RM2,399. Meanwhile, the Mijia Front Load Washer 8kg, normally priced at RM1,999, is available for RM1,199 during the promotional period. Both models will be available from 9 September 2026 at all Xiaomi stores nationwide, on mi.com, as well as through Xiaomi’s official stores on Shopee, Lazada and TikTok Shop.
