LG reveals the world’s first native 1000Hz 1080p gaming monitor

LG has just announced what it claims is the world’s first native 1000Hz Full HD gaming monitor. Dubbed the LG UltraGear 25G590B, the new 24.5-inch monitor is designed specifically for competitive FPS players who want the fastest possible response and motion clarity.
While it isn’t the first available 1000Hz gaming monitor, according to LG it is the first that can achieve this without needing to run dual-mode tricks such as only hitting max refresh rates at a lower resolution. Instead, LG says that the UltraGear 25G590B is able to hit 1000Hz at native 1080p resolution.
The panel itself is a a 24.5-inch IPS panel, and LG says the new monitor also comes with Motion Blur Reduction Pro. This LG-developed technology allows the screen to display fast moving objects sharper and easier to track with the eyes. The panel also has an extra later of low reflection film on it for consistent colour reproduction and reduced glare.

Other features of note include a sleek minimalist look with a smaller base stand footprint for extra mouse real estate, with height, swivel and tilt adjustments, as well as UltraGear lighting and AI scene optimisation tools.
The LG UltraGear 25G590B isn’t available for purchase just yet, but the Korean giant does say that it will make its debut in the second half of the year.
