Roborock Saros 20 series: Their most advanced premium robot vacuums yet, from RM5,399
Roborock has recently launched their latest lineup of flagship robot vacuums in Malaysia, the Saros 20 series. These are the brand’s most advanced range of robot vacuum cleaners yet, offering premium cleaning performance with slimmer designs that can cover a variety of flooring materials.
The Saros 20 series features its namesake base model along with the Saros 20 Refill & Drainage (R&D) system, as well as the the more advanced Saros 20 Sonic.
Starting off with the regular Saros 20, this all round flagship offers a slim AdaptiLift Chassis 3.0 that is not only able to climb up to 8.8cm of thresholds, but can also clean up to 3cm of carpets by adjusting its own height to maintain optimal suction without getting stuck.
Its StarSight Autonomous System 2.0 meanwhile is a next-gen 3D sensing navigation system that Roborock claims has 21 times better sampling frequency than laser distance sensor navigations and can recognise over 300 types of obstacles. This lets it navigate below sofas and bed with clearance as little as 7.95cm, as well as in toe kick areas as low as 2cm with its FlexiArm side brushes.
Speaking of brushes, you can tweak the main 200RPM brush and mops on the Saros 20 to best fit the type of cleaning required, be it to clean carpets, mop the floor or just to vacuum the area. The Saros 20 offers up to 36,000Pa of suction force for strong vacuuming performance, while in mop mode Roborock claims that the hot water mop can remove up to 99.99% of bacteria.
Other features include pet-friendly intelligence like automatic pet recognition, pet tracking and even being able to take pictures of your pets. There’s also hot water self cleaning when docked, warm air drying to prevent mold growth, auto dust emptying and fast charging in just two and a half hours.
While all they all share the same core platform, the Saros 20 R&D is plumbed to your household’s piping for a more hands-free experience with automatic water refill and drainage. The dock will be able to refill clean water by itself as well as empty out the used water into the sewage system without needing any manual labour beyond the initial plumbing setup.
Lastly, we have the Saros 20 Sonic, which swaps out the spinning mops for the VibraRise 5.0 mop head, a large pad that vibrates up to 4000 times a minute. This basically acts as scrubber on your floor and is able to better clean corners without damaging your walls.
As for pricing and availability, the regular Saros 20 is priced at RM5,399, while the Saros 20 R&D is priced at RM5,799. The Saros 20 Sonic meanwhile is priced at RM5,999. All three models are already available for purchase in Malaysia on the Roborock Malaysia website as well as their physical outlets and Harvey Norman outlets nationwide.
