DJI Mic Mini 2S launched in Malaysia with onboard recording and 32-bit float audio
DJI has officially introduced the Mic Mini 2S in Malaysia, bringing onboard recording that was missing from the Mic Mini 2. The compact wireless microphone now features built-in storage on each transmitter, allowing users to record audio directly onto the mic as a backup.
Each transmitter packs 14.5GB of internal storage, which DJI says is enough for up to 28 hours of recording in the default 24-bit mode. The Mic Mini 2S also supports 32-bit float recording, giving creators more headroom when recording audio with unpredictable volume levels.
DJI has also upgraded the microphone with two levels of AI-powered noise cancellation. Basic mode is designed to reduce indoor background noise such as fans and air conditioning, while Strong mode targets noisier outdoor environments. Other new features include Clipping Control to prevent distorted audio, Loudness Balance for more consistent volume, and three voice presets: Regular, Bright and Rich.
The Mic Mini 2S also supports up to four transmitters connected to a single receiver, making it suitable for podcasts, interviews and other multi-person recordings. Existing users will also be glad to know that it remains compatible with previous Mic Mini and Mic Mini 2 transmitters, as well as the DJI Mic Series Mobile Receiver.
Like other recent DJI microphones, the Mic Mini 2S supports OsmoAudio Direct Connection, allowing it to connect directly to compatible Osmo cameras without a receiver. Supported models include the Osmo Pocket 4P, Osmo Pocket 4, Osmo 360, Osmo Nano and Osmo Action 6.
