Another Apple Event set for 28 October, MacBook Pro with touchscreen coming?

We’ve seen the new iPhone 18 Pro, the iPhone Duo and even their new smart home devices like the HomeView and HomePod Mini 2, but Apple isn’t in the mood to stop launching new products just yet.
Can’t wait to pro and tell next week. https://t.co/3wUkxwq35i

Cupertino has just announced that there will be yet another Apple Event happening next week on 28 October, 10AM PT (29 Oct, 1am local time), this time called ‘Pro and tell’. As the name suggests, this will likely be Apple’s new MacBook Pro lineup, though expect to see a refreshed iMac and maybe even a new iPad Mini during the launch event.
As for what exactly these new devices will bring, the biggest change would likely be Apple finally introducing a MacBook Pro with a touchscreen display. Allegedly codenamed K114 and K116, these new MacBook Pro laptops will reportedly be lighter than the current generation and pack OLED displays supporting not just touch input but also have a Dynamic Island interface.
Meanwhile, the lower end MacBook Pro models with the base M6 that’s currently in the Mac Mini meanwhile will most likely retain the same design on the current MacBook Pro laptops. As for the iPad Mini, it too will get an OLED display, while its front camera will be moved to the landscape side for better videoconferencing, along with an improved speaker setup too.
Of course, we’ll have to wait till the event rolls around to truly know what’s coming from Cupertino, so stay tuned for more news about the MacBook Pro.
