You can now pay parking with your Touch ‘n Go eWallet via QR Code

March 16, 2023

Touch ‘n Go now offers another cashless payment alternative in carparks through their new ‘Scan QR in/out Parking’ feature. Through this, Touch ‘n Go offers a seamless payment experience which allows you to bypass the hassle of hunting down a working autopay machine.

To utilize this new method, you only need to tap the ‘Pay’ tab on your Touch ‘n Go eWallet app and let the parking reader scan your code. Upon exit, simply let the parking reader scan your code again via the same ‘Pay’ tab. If the parking duration is payable, the payment will be processed immediately and the amount will be deducted directly from your eWallet.

Essentially, it’s just like using your standard Touch ‘n Go card, but instead, you’re using a generated QR code on your app.

There will be no hidden or additional fees if you use this method. In fact, you won’t even need to have a minimum balance in your Touch ‘n Go eWallet. You will still be able to enter the premises and top up before you leave. However, if upon exit your rates are higher than your remaining balance, the boom gate will not open.

Don’t even worry if you are afraid bad internet connection will hinder the process. The Touch ‘n Go eWallet app does not need an internet connection to generate a QR code. So it’s good to go even in underground parking where signal is typically low.

In the worst case scenario where your phone is out of battery or lost, you can always head over to the carpark management for assistant. They will be able to check your rates and reissue a parking ticket for you.
