You can finally pay on Shopee with your TNG eWallet, here’s how to do it

Here’s a small update that a lot of Malaysian shoppers have been waiting a long time for. You can now pay on Shopee using your Touch ‘n Go eWallet, with the option going live from 11 August 2026. It works through DuitNow QR, so your TNG balance is finally usable at one of the country’s biggest shopping platforms.

That said, it’s worth being clear on how this actually works, as it isn’t a full TNG integration. Instead, you can now make payments through DuitNow QR, which effectively provides a workaround for using TNG eWallet. It may not be the most direct option, but it gets the job done and gives you another payment method that many shoppers have been asking for.

Before you start, make sure your TNG eWallet app is updated to v1.9.9 or above, otherwise the option may not show up properly. Once that’s sorted, there are two ways to pay.

Method 1: Share to TNG eWallet

  1. At Shopee checkout, pick DuitNow QR under Other Payment Methods.
  2. Screenshot or save the Shopee payment QR that appears.
  3. Open it in your TNG eWallet, either through the Share icon or your gallery.
  4. Check the amount and hit Pay. Done.

Method 2: Universal Scan

  1. At Shopee checkout, pick DuitNow QR under Other Payment Methods.
  2. Open Scan in your TNG eWallet and capture the DuitNow QR shown on screen.
  3. Confirm the amount and Pay.

There’s a little extra on the table too. TNG eWallet is pointing users to its Shop & Earn feature for additional cashback on Shopee orders, so it’s worth a look before you pay if you like stacking your savings. Right now, eligible Shopee orders earn 1% cashback, capped at RM6.67 per order.

Do note that a fair few things are left out of the cashback. So the cashback mainly applies to your regular product purchases rather than the extras tacked on at checkout. If you shop on Shopee often and keep most of your spending money in TNG eWallet, this one’s still an easy win.
