Vivo X300 FE: Compact flagship with Zeiss cameras and Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, from RM3,299
Alongside the top of the line X300 Ultra, Vivo also showcased their latest compact flagship smartphone in Malaysia, the X300 FE. Despite the ‘FE’ moniker, this is actually still a pretty impress package, with its Zeiss-branded cameras on the back and a flagship grade Snapdragon chipset under the hood.

The Vivo X300 FE is now available for pre-order in Malaysia till 22 May on the Vivo Malaysia website as well as from all Vivo stores nationwide. It starts at RM3,299 for the base model with 256GB of storage rising to RM3,899 for the 512GB variant.
If you do pre-order the X300 FE, you’ll get some free gifts too such as a JBL speaker worth RM299, a pair of Vivo Buds Pro worth RM199, a 1+1 year extended warranty and 180 days screen crack protection. You can also opt for the Special Edition Photographer Kit bundle, which adds a grip case and a Zeiss Telephoto Extender Gen 2. Typically priced RM999 more, you can get a RM300 discount during the pre-order period.
Vivo X300 FE specs
Measuring just 7.99mm thin and weighing in at 191g, the X300 FE features a metal frame with flat sides and an AG glass finish for a pocket-sized fit in the hand. That’s thanks in part to its relatively compact 6.31-inch AMOLED display, which pushes a 2640 by 1216 resolution, an adaptive 1-120Hz refresh rate, full coverage of the DCI-P3 colour gamut and a local peak brightness of 5000nits.
Powering the Vivo X300 FE is a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 system-on-chip, mated to 12GB of LPDDR5X Ultra and up to 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage. It comes with Android 16 out of the box, skinned with OriginOS 6 over it as well as a guarantee of five major Android OS upgrades and seven years of security patches.
As for cameras, the X300 FE still packs a 50MP, f/1.57 Zeiss main camera using a Sony IMX921 sensor alongside a 50MP, f/2.65 Zeiss Super Telephoto using a Sony IMX882 sensor offering a 3x optical zoom and up to 100x digital zoom. There’s also an 8MP, f/2.2 ultrawide and multifocal zoom flash to round things off on the back while for selfies you get a 50MP, f/2.0 Zeiss front camera.
Keeping the lights on meanwhile is a 6500mAh BlueVolt battery with support for 90W FlashCharge and 40W wireless FlashCharge fast charging. Other features of note include IP68 and IP69 dust and water resistance rating, a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, stereo speakers and support for the Vivo Zeiss Telephoto Extender Gen 2.
