The Vivo X300 Ultra is now in Malaysia. Well, almost; Vivo has made it available for pre-order, and in fact this marks the first global launch of their X Ultra flagship outside of China. They have on paper at least some of the best camera hardware on a smartphone right now, and support plenty of addons too for you to up your mobile photography game.

Vivo X300 Ultra Malaysia pricing and availability details

The Vivo X300 Ultra is now available for pre-order until 22 May on the Vivo Malaysia website as well as at all Vivo Concept Stores nationwide. It comes with a starting recommended retail price of RM6,799 for the base model with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, while for RM7,299 you’ll get 1TB of storage instead.

However, you can get it from as low as just RM5,899 during the pre-order period, as pre-orders will come with RM900 cashback along with a free Coman Aluminum Tripod worth RM299, a 1-year extended warranty and 180-days screen crack protection. That’s on top of a 30% purchase-with-purchase offer for the Vivo Zeiss Telephoto Extender Gen 2 and Gen 2 Ultra, which are priced at RM999 and RM1,599 respectively before the discount.

For those looking for the ultimate mobile photography device that Vivo can offer though, there’s the Vivo Special Edition Photographer Kit, which comes with the Telephoto Extender Gen 2 and Gen 2 Ultra along with a grip case, tripod mount, lens adapter rings and a shoulder strap. All that gear comes in at RM9,999, but pre-orders will get the same RM900 cashback and all the other bundled addons as the regular X300 Ultra.

Vivo X300 Ultra specs and features

The Vivo X300 Ultra comes with what they’re calling a ‘classic camera-inspired design’, with the flash module in the top corner, a large circular camera island and a two tone finish too on the back in the Steppe Green colourway; the Volcano Black option has a more minimalist look with a glass fiber unibody. There’s even a knurled texture on the side of the camera bump to mimic actual cameras, while the Zeiss logo sits prominently in the centre.

Of course, we can’t talk about the X300 Ultra and not mention the cameras themselves. It’s a triple camera setup that they’re calling the Zeiss Master Lenses Collection, with a 200MP, f/1.85 main ‘documentary’ camera using a Sony Lytia 901 sensor offering a 35mm focal length flanked by a 200MP, f/2.67 telephoto using a Samsung HP0 sensor for an 85mm focal length. There’s also a 50MP, f/2.0 ultrawide using a Sony Lytia 818 for a 14mm focal length, while a 50MP, f/2.45 selfie shooter sits up front.

If the camera hardware sounds stacked, then wait till you hear the software features too. The X300 Ultra offers a multitude of imaging features, ranging from its new and improved Pro Video mode to its multi-focal 4K 120fps 10-bit log video shooting, as well as 4K Stage All-in-One for concert captures, a new Landscape Mode 2.0, Dual-View Stage Video to capture your favourite artist and yourself at the same time as well as Zeiss-tuned colours.

Under the hood, the X300 Ultra comes with a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 system-on-chip under the hood, mated to 16GB of LPDDR5X Ultra Pro memory and up to 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage. It comes with Android 16 out of the box skinned with OriginOS 6, and Vivo claims they’ll support it with 5 major OS upgrades and up to 7 years of security patches.

As for its display, you’re looking at a 6.82-inch AMOLED display, pushing a 3168 by 1440 resolution for a pixel density of 510PPI, with an adaptive 144Hz refresh rate, a local peak brightness of 4500nits and full coverage of the DCI-P3 colour gamut.

Keeping the lights on is a 660mAh BlueVolt battery that Vivo rates as good for up to 38.8 hours of YouTube video playback. If also supports 100W wired FlashCharge fast charging along with 40W wireless FlashCharge fast charging. Other features of note include stereo speakers, USB 3.2 10Gbps connectivity, a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor along with IP68 and IP69 dust and water resistance rating.
