Ryt Card users can now pay with Apple Pay on iPhone and Apple Watch

Ryt Card users on iPhone no longer need to reach for their wallets at the checkout counter. Ryt Bank has announced that its Ryt Card can now be added to Apple Wallet, allowing customers to pay using Apple Pay in stores, online and within apps.
This follows the arrival of Google Pay support for the Ryt Card in January, which covered Android users. With Apple Pay now added to the mix, Ryt Bank says it has become the first digital bank in Malaysia to support both mobile wallets.
Good news for those who haven’t received a physical card yet, as the virtual Ryt Card can be added to Apple Wallet too. Once it’s set up, you can tap to pay with your iPhone or Apple Watch at any contactless terminal that accepts Apple Pay.
There are two ways to get your card in. The first is through Apple’s Wallet app, where you just tap the “+” button and follow the steps on screen. If you’d rather do it from the bank’s side, open the Ryt Bank app, go to the Cards tab, choose the card you want to add and tap “Add to Apple Wallet”. You’ll also get the option to add it to your other Apple devices and set it as your default payment card along the way.
In terms of security, Apple Pay requires you to confirm each payment using Face ID, Touch ID or your passcode. Merchants also won’t see your actual card details, since each transaction uses a unique device account number and a one-time security code instead.
