ROG Zephyrus Duo: World’s first 16″ dual screen gaming laptop will cost you RM36,999

Would you pay the price of a Proton Saga for the world’s first and most powerful 16-inch dual screen gaming laptop? Well that’s what Asus Malaysia is asking with it’s new ROG Zephyrus Duo.
ROG Zephyrus Duo Malaysia pricing and availability

The ROG Zephyrus Duo will be available from the Asus Malaysia eStore and from all authorised retailers nationwide from today onwards. It comes in just a single configuration, priced at a whopping RM36,999.

If you do have the spare change to get it before 17 July, you’ll also get an early bird bundle worth RM2,948, which includes an ROG Falcata gaming keyboard and an ROG Kithara gaming headset, on top of the ROG Backpack for the Duo.
ROG Zephyrus Duo specs and features

The ROG Zephyrus Duo’s biggest party trick is obviously its dual 16-inch ROG Nebula HDR OLED displays. Each of these displays push a 3K resolution in a 16:10 aspect ratio, with a 120Hz refresh rate, a 0.2ms response time, a peak brightness of 110nits, full coverage of the DCI-P3 colour gamut, touchscreen support, Pantone validation and an anti-glare layer over them too.

The advantages of a dual screen setup isn’t just that you have more screen real estate though. Apart from using it in just dual screen mode or with just one display on like a regular laptop, you can also lay the Duo flat in sharing mode, flip it on its side for two tall displays in book mode, or even have two games running in tent mode, one screen per person. The keyboard meanwhile is a 5.1mm thin wireless keyboard, which magnetically attaches to the bottom display panel.

Powering the two screens is some of the most powerful hardware out there right now. You’ll find an Intel Core Ultra 9 386H paired with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090 Laptop GPU, 64GB of LPDDR5X 8533MHz memory and a 2TB PCIe 5.0 SSD. Cooling all of that is a ROG Intelligent Cooling system with liquid metal, a custom vapour chamber, dual fans and a graphite nano-insulated film between the motherboard and the display panel.

The chassis itself is build out of CNC machined aluminum alloy, with a Slash Lighting array across the top lid for even more style and flair to the ROG Zephyrus Duo. Other features include a six-speaker setup with dual side woofers for 122% more volume, an Excimer coating to the keycaps, top and bottom lids as well as a 90Wh battery keeping the lights on.
