ROG Xbox Ally X20 confirmed coming to Malaysia soon

Asus Malaysia has confirmed that the ROG Xbox Ally X20 will indeed be coming to Malaysia. First revealed during Computex 2026, this enhanced version of their handheld comes with major upgrades to the display and joysticks.
As confirmed by the Taiwanese giant, they will be bringing it to Malaysia with pre-orders for it coming very soon. Perhaps the best part is that you’ll be able to get it as a standalone device, rather than as part of a bundle with the ROG XReal R1 Edition 20 AR glasses, though from what we understand a bundle of the two will be available too, complete with a custom Killswitch case and joystick covers.

The first big difference you’ll probably notice on the ROG Xbox Ally X20 is that it comes with a translucent black case, a homage to a simpler time when nearly every gadget came with clear plastic designs. This has the added benefit of course of being able to show off all the cool hardware under the hood.
That being said, the major upgrade on the ROG Xbox Ally X20 is arguably it’s new 7.4-inch OLED display. The 1080p panel not only offers an upgrade to 120Hz refresh rate, but also a peak brightness of 1400nits, support for FreeSync Premium Pro VRR as well as a layer of Gorilla Glass with DXC over it for scratch resistance. The cinematic gamers among you will particularly enjoy the deeper blacks and brighter display for a much more immersive gaming experience.

The other major upgrade for the ROG Xbox Ally X20 include TMR joysticks that should finally ensure your handheld won’t suffer from joystick drift. That’s on top of an enhanced D-pad that offers a more clicky feel as well as 8-movement axis.
The other parts of the ROG Xbox Ally X20 though is more or less the same as the regular ROG Xbox Ally X. You’ll find an AMD Ryzen AI z2 Extreme processor under the hood mated to 24GB of LPDDR5X memory and 1TB of SSD storage, on top of Windows 11 and the Xbox full screen experience out of the box.
