Here’s a first look at the upcoming REDMI Note 17 Pro Max 5G

Xiaomi Malaysia has begun teasing their upcoming REDMI Note 17 Series, due to launch on 2 September 2026. While that’s still a fortnight away, we can at least give you guys a quick sneak peek at the star of the show, the REDMI Note 17 Pro Max 5G.

The REDMI Note 17 Pro Max 5G we have on hand today comes in Cloud Blush, which has a shimmering back panel featuring photochromic technology. This means that it will react to the sunlight, giving it a dynamic appearance when you’re out and about.

However, perhaps the best part of the REDMI Note 17 Pro Max 5G is its battery. Xiaomi has indeed revealed that the REDMI Note 17 Pro Max 5G features a 10,000mAh battery capacity, their largest ever smartphone battery. Even if you’re able to actually drain the battery on the REDMI Note 17 Pro Max 5G, it still comes with support for 100W HyperCharge fast charging, and the power adapter is in the box too.

Other highlights teased by Xiaomi on their website include REDMI Titan Quality, claiming that it’ll be able to survive a 3-meter drop as well as packing IP66/IP68/IP69/IP69K dust and water resistance ratings. We also know that it’ll pack a Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 under the hood, while its screen is a 6.83-inch, 1.5K CrystalRes AMOLED display.
