REDMI 17 series specs

The REDMI 17 series, regardless of whether you go with 4G or 5G, are fairly similar devices. The main difference is in its processor and connectivity, with the REDMI 17 5G packing a Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 system-on-chip while the 4G variant gets a MediaTek Helio G91-Ultra instead. They all come with 4GB of memory, with the 5G model also getting a 256GB storage option; it’s also worth noting the REDMI 17 4G gets eMMC 5.1 storage while the 5G one has faster UFS 2.2 storage.

Other than that though, you’re looking at mostly the same device, with a large 6.9-inch, HD+ IPS display capable of up to a 120Hz refresh rate, 83% coverage of the NTSC colour gamut, a peak brightness of 825nits in high brightness mode, complete with a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 7i over it for scratch resistance.

Keeping the lights on meanwhile is a massive 7500mAh battery that Xiaomi claims will be good for up to 2 days of use, with support for 45W wired fast charging too to get you back to 100% in just 96 minutes on top of 22.5W wired reverse charging.

As for its cameras, the REDMi 17 series comes with a ‘dual’ rear camera setup packing a main 50MP, f/1.8 main camera flanked by an auxiliary lens, while up front is an 8MP, f/2.05 selfie shooter.

Other features of note include a dynamic RGB light on the back, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, NFC support and an IP64 dust and water resistance rating. You’ll also find Xiaomi HyperOS 3 skinned over Android 16 out of the box.
