Razer’s new Seiren V3 Chroma USB microphone gets 32-bit DSP and AI audio processing

Razer has unveiled the Seiren V3 Chroma 32-Bit DSP, a new version of its RGB-equipped USB microphone that brings onboard 32-bit digital signal processing (DSP) and AI-powered audio enhancements previously found on the higher-end Seiren V3 Pro.

Aimed at streamers, gamers and content creators, the microphone is designed to simplify the recording setup by processing audio directly on the device instead of relying on the host PC or an external audio interface.

The biggest upgrade is the addition of dedicated onboard DSP, which supports 24-bit and 32-bit audio processing at sample rates of up to 96kHz. According to Razer, the extra audio headroom helps the microphone better handle sudden changes in volume and varying speaking distances, reducing clipping and distortion during live streams and recordings.

The Seiren V3 Chroma 32-Bit DSP also gets the same AI-powered audio processing features available on the Seiren V3 Pro. These include automatic noise reduction, EQ, compression and limiting, all of which are processed on the microphone itself. This allows for a cleaner, more balanced sound with minimal setup while reducing background noise such as PC fans and room reflections.

For voice capture, the microphone uses a 16mm supercardioid condenser capsule that’s designed to focus on the speaker’s voice while rejecting off-axis sounds like mechanical keyboard typing and mouse clicks. This should make it better for users streaming or recording in rooms without dedicated acoustic treatment.

On top of that, the microphone retains its tap-to-mute touch sensor, allowing users to mute themselves with a single tap. Through Razer Synapse, double and triple tap gestures can also be customised to switch Chroma RGB lighting effects, toggle the digital analogue limiter or activate different audio settings.

Like its predecessor, the Seiren V3 Chroma 32-Bit DSP features Razer Chroma RGB lighting, with effects that can be synchronised with audience interactions, chat alerts, emotes and supported in-game events via Razer Synapse and the Streamer Companion App.

Connectivity is handled via USB-C to USB-A, with plug-and-play support for Windows. The microphone is compatible with popular streaming and communication platforms including OBS Studio and Discord, while Razer Synapse provides additional controls for volume mixing, sample rate selection and button mapping.

The Razer Seiren V3 Chroma 32-Bit DSP is now available from the Razer Malaysia website as well as their retail partners nationwide, priced at RM529 for the Black colourway and RM569 for the White and Quartz version.
