Razer Kitsune – Ryu Edition: Limited edition leverless controller for PS5 and PC

Razer has announced a new limited-edition version of its Kitsune leverless arcade controller, this time featuring the iconic Ryu from Street Fighter 6. Called the Razer Kitsune – Ryu Edition, the controller will make its debut during EVO 2026 in Las Vegas.

The Ryu Edition retains the same hardware as the standard Razer Kitsune, with the main difference being its new design. It features a dye-sublimated aluminium top plate finished in a black-and-white colour scheme inspired by Ryu, complemented by red accents.

Designed for PS5 and PC, the Kitsune uses an all-button layout instead of a traditional joystick. The four directional buttons are intended to provide more precise movement inputs while reducing accidental directional errors, a layout that has become increasingly popular among competitive fighting game players.

The controller is also equipped with Razer’s low-profile linear optical switches, which offer shorter actuation for faster and more responsive inputs. Like other recent Razer peripherals, it also supports Razer Chroma RGB lighting with customisable effects.

For tournament use, the Kitsune features a Tournament Lock Switch that disables non-essential buttons during matches. It also includes a detachable USB-C cable and a built-in cable lock to help prevent accidental disconnections during gameplay. Its slim profile is designed to make it easier to carry between home setups, local tournaments and major events.

The Razer Kitsune – Ryu Edition will be available as a limited-edition release. You’ll be able to find it on sale on the Razer Malaysia website priced at RM1,429.
