Razer Atlas Pro: World’s thinnest glass gaming mouse mat, priced at RM599

Razer has just announced the Razer Atlas Pro, a new glass gaming mouse mat that claims to be the world’s thinnest, measuring only 1.9mm thick. The new Atlas Pro builds on the original Razer Atlas, but this time focuses heavily on reducing thickness while maintaining durability and performance for competitive gaming.

The headline feature here is its 1.9mm ultra-thin design, which Razer says breaks the sub-2mm barrier for glass mouse mats. That thickness includes the rubber base, while the actual glass layer measures just 1.1mm. For comparison, most glass mouse mats typically measure above 3mm thick.

Razer claims that the Atlas Pro’s thinner profiel allows for not just a more natural wrist posture and more comfort during long gaming sessions thanks to its reduced height difference between desk and mouse surface, but also brings a cleaner and more seamless desk setup aesthetic.

Thickness however isn’t the only thing that matters on a mouse mat of course. Razer says that the Atlas Pro’s tempered glass allowed for a low friction glide, delivering fast mouse movements and a consistent tracking experience regardless of your preferred DPI. A 2µm micro-etched texture meanwhile allows further improves the accuracy, having been developed in collaboration with its sensor partner.

For those worried about durability, the Atlas Pro comes with a 9H hardness rating, giving it resistance against everyday objects like keys, pens and coins. You can also quickly wipe it down as there’s a protective coating on it for easy cleaning. The mat itself measures 500mm x 400mm, with CNC-milled rounded edges and an anti-slip rubber base.
