Predator Helios 18 AI: 18″ MiniLED gaming laptop with up to RTX 5090, from RM17,999
Aside from a new portable monitor, Acer is also introducing their latest and greatest gaming laptop in Malaysia. The Predator Helios 18 AI is their new high performance, portable desktop replacement machine, featuring powerful hardware paired with a large 18-inch display.

The Predator Helios 18 AI is now available at the Acer eStore as well as all authorised Acer retailers nationwide. It comes in two configurations, with the base model priced at RM17,999 packing an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 and 32GB of RAM, while the one with an RTX 5090 and 48GB of RAM is priced at RM19,999.
For those who get either of those variants before 12 July you’ll also get a free Acer PM161Q portable monitor worth RM349 while stocks last.
Predator Helios 18 AI specs and features
The Predator Helios 18 AI is positioned by Acer as a portable gaming laptop with desktop-level performance. It comes with an Intel Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus, paired with either 32GB of DDR5 RAM and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 laptop GPU, or 48GB of DDR5 RAM and an RTX 5090 laptop GPU; both variants come with a 1TB PCIe Gen 4 SSD. All of that is kept cool by Acer’s 6th Gen AeroBlade 3D fans with 0.05mm metal blades, vector heat pipes and liquid metal thermal grease.
As for its display, you’re getting an 18-inch MiniLED IPS display, pushing a 4K (3840 x 2400) resolution with a peak brightness of 1,000nits in HDR brightness, a 120Hz refresh rate and a 3ms grey-to-grey refresh rate. There’s support for Nvidia Advanced Optimus and HDR 1000 too.
Of course, you can’t have a top notch gaming laptop without RGB lighting, and the Predator Helios 18 AI comes with customisable dynamic RGB lighting across its cover logo, a MilkyWay lighting bar, InfiniteRing accents and a per-key RGB backlit keyboard. You’ll also find Predator MagKey 4.0 mechanical switches with customisable magnetic actuation, delivering mechanical click tactility on a laptop.
Other features of note include a Predator Vox six speaker setup, WiFi 7 support, a 99.98Wh battery, two Thunderbolt 4 ports, three USB-A ports, an SD card reader, a HDMI 2.1 output and a 3.5mm audio jack.
