Nubia Neo 5 GT 5G: Midrange gaming phone with cooling fan, shoulder triggers, from RM1,799
ZTE Malaysia has announced their latest gaming smartphone in Malaysia, the Nubia Neo 5 GT 5G. This midrange gaming smartphone offers the full gaming experience, with an active cooling fan, shoulder triggers and most importantly, RGB lighting.

The Nubia Neo 5 GT 5G is now available for pre-order via the Nubia Malaysia official Shopee, Tiktok Shop and Lazada stores. Here’s how much it’ll cost:

Pre-orders will come with free gifts worth up to RM897, which include a magnetic casing, a pair of Nubia GT Buds, a Nubia GT cable, a 1+1 year warranty and 1 year of screen damage protection.
Nubia Neo 5 GT 5G specs
The Nubia Neo 5 GT 5G continues with the brand’s design philosophy of flat backs, with no visible camera bump, along with rounded corners and RGB lighting. Mobile gamers will be most intrigued by the Neo Triggers 5.0 on the shoulders, which Nubia claims are the faster in the industry at 550Hz. It also comes with an IP64 dust and water resistance rating… if you don’t count the air ducts, otherwise it’s an IP54 rated device.
It’s powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7400 system-on-chip, which despite being a lower midrange processor still gets a built-in cooling fan combined with a large 29,508mm² graphite sheet heat spreader and vapor chamber. You’ll also find 12GB of “LPDDR Max” 6400MT/s memory and up to 512GB of storage, along with Android 16 skinned with MyOS 16 over it out of the box.
As for the display, you’ll get a 6.8-inch AMOLED display pushing a 1.5K resolution, an up to 144Hz refresh rate, a peak brightness of up to 4500nits and a 3049Hz touch sampling rate. There’s a 50MP rear camera too alongside a 2MP depth sensor and a third ‘AI camera’, while up front is a 16MP selfie shooter.
Keeping the lights on is a 6,210mAh dual-cell battery that Nubia claims is good for up to 840 hours of standby, 90.7 hours of music playback and up to 14 hours of non-stop gaming. It also supports 80W fast charging and can supports bypass charging so that you can play directly from the wall wart.
