Lenovo Legion Go 2 gets price hike in Malaysia, now costs up to RM7,109

The Lenovo Legion Go 2 launched late last year, as a premium gaming handheld rivalling the likes of the ROG Xbox Ally X. If you’ve been planning to get one however, then you’re out of luck as Lenovo has announced global price hikes for the Legion Go 2, affecting Malaysia as well.
Here are the new prices for the Lenovo Legion Go 2:
- Lenovo Legion Go 2, 32GB 7500MT/s memory, 512GB storage – RM5,999
- Lenovo Legion Go 2, 32GB 8000MT/s memory, 512GB storage – RM6,739
- Lenovo Legion Go 2, 32GB 8000MT/s memory, 1TB storage – RM7,109

For reference, the Legion Go 2 originally started at RM4,739, with its top end model priced at RM5,399. That means that if you previously could afford the 1TB Legion Go 2, you now won’t even be able to get the base model.
The Legion Go 2 of course remains a sought after option for gamers on the go. It packs a large 8.8″ OLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, along with the AMD Ryzen Z2 Extreme under the hood for solid handheld gaming performance. A 74Wh battery meanwhile provides decent enough battery life, with the Legion Go 2’s main party trick compared to say, the ROG Xbox Ally X, being its detachable Legion TrueStrike controllers, letting you treat it like a tablet with a controller rather than a handheld.

This is just the latest in a string of price hikes happening throughout the industry and beyond of course. Take for instance the PlayStation 5, which Sony has already confirmed will get a price hike globally, though at time of writing no word yet on updated local pricing.
