Insta360 launches new Mic Pro
Could this be the best creator mic yet?
After recent portable mic launches from GoPro and DJI, Insta360 drops a new mic that caught my eye with it’s fresh approach.
New key features & specs
The most obvious new feature is the e-ink display to feature basically anything you want on the front, allowing it to blend into the frame like a badge or pin on clothing or to enhance one’s logo and branding. These days where we are bombarded by the DJI logo on most creators’ videos, this is a very welcome refreshing approach to be creator friendly, especially when wearing bright clothing.

Another interesting feature that stood out is it’s ability to connect multi transmitter mics and there is even a model with 4 transmitter mics and a single receiver. This makes is super useful for group shots or a podcast where there is more than 1 guest on set.
According to their website, 1 transmitter can pair with up to four receivers, delivering synced audio to four devices for quick setup and easy editing.

Their A1 Chip also assists in AI noise reduction and Auto Gain Control so that post processing of audio is seamless. Some of us who have had loud breaking audio issues during editing know the pain of re-recording.

Lastly, their claims of up to 10 hour battery life seems impressive on paper for a small form factor. This claim remains to be tested in real-life conditions but I believe it will not be too far off. Together with the receiver casing which also doubles up as a charging dock, it claims to last up to 30-hours.

Price of Insta360 Mic Pro in Malaysia
Official retail pricing in Malaysia as of 20 May 2026 is unknown, but based on their official website it is listed from US$99 in USA and US$106.99 in Malaysia (because of local taxes) which we can infer to start from at least RM399 for the transmitter alone; and RM799 for the 1 transmitter and receiver model.
