iiiF150 Air 2 Ultra: World’s thinnest rugged phone now in Malaysia, priced at RM2,299

The brand iiiF150 is finally in Malaysia with their Air 2 Ultra rugged smartphone. Originally scheduled for an April launch, after some delays the rugged smartphone brand has finally launched the Air 2 Ultra in Malaysia, complete with plenty of camping-themed free gifts for those who pre-order.

The iiiF150 is now available for pre-order till 24 July, either via their official website or from DirectD outlets nationwide. Priced at RM2,299 for the base model with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, pre-orders will upgrade you to the higher spec model packing 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage that’s normally priced at RM2,799 instead.

On top of that, there’s plenty of free gifts too such as an outdoor foldable camping tent worth RM699, a foldable camping trolley worth RM299, a hiking and trekking pole, limited edition magnets, a pegboard, a waterproof bag and an outdoor bucket hat.

Dubbed the world’s thinnest rugged phone, the Air 2 Ultra measures in at 8.5mm thin and weighs 230g. It’s also water resistant at 6m depth for up to 24 hours, with STD-810H military grade durability and has IP68/IPx9K dust and water resistance ratings. The chassis itself is made of HZH-5.9 aluminum with CarbonEdge bezels, along with a fighter-jet inspired design and 8 LEDs on the back that light up.

As for its display, the Air 2 Ultra gets a 6.8-inch AMOLED display, pushing a FHD+ resolution along with a 120Hz refresh rate, a peak brightness of 2600nits as well as full coverage of the DCI-P3 colour gamut. It’s also said to be the first rugged smartphone with an in-display fingerprint sensor.

Powering the Air 2 Ultra meanwhile is a MediaTek Dimensity 7050 system-on-chip, with up to 16GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage, along with support for up to 2TB of expandable storage. There’s also a 5,000mAh battery with support for 65W fast charging, as well as a main 108MP camera flanked by a 64MP ‘Night Vision’ shooter, with a 32MP selfie shooter upfront.
