Honor humanoid robots to make international debut at Malaysia Marathon and National Day parade

By Alyaa Najwa August 19, 2026

Honor is marking this National Day with something you don’t see every day. The brand is bringing its humanoid robots, the Honor Robotics A1 and D1, to Malaysia for their first international appearance, starting at the Malaysia Marathon 2026 on 30 August before joining the National Day parade in Putrajaya on 31 August.

It’s a notable milestone, with Malaysia becoming the first country outside China to see the robots in action. The debut follows D1’s victory at the 2nd Beijing E-Town Humanoid Robot Half-Marathon in April, where it showcased its mobility and endurance beyond a controlled lab setting.

At the Malaysia Marathon 2026, the two robots will take on different race categories. The D1 will kick things off in the 10KM race, setting off from Pavilion Kuala Lumpur at 12:00 AM, while the A1 will join the 5KM category alongside Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, which begins at 7:30 AM from KLCC.

If you’d rather see them in person, Honor will showcase both robots at its booths at KLCC and Pavilion Kuala Lumpur from 29 to 30 August, where visitors can get a closer look and snap photos with them. The booths will also feature Honor’s latest devices, including the Magic V6, X9d and 600 Series, alongside a range of interactive and National Day-themed activities.

After the marathon, the A1 and D1 will head to Dataran Putrajaya on 31 August to take part in the National Day parade. This marks Honor’s first appearance as a parade contingent, with the brand also claiming to be the first smartphone company to participate in the country’s National Day celebrations. An Honor booth will also be set up at Dataran Putrajaya, giving visitors another chance to see the robots up close, take photos and explore the brand’s latest devices and activities.
