Google: Over a billion people are using the Gemini app every month
Whatever your opinion on AI, it seems that it’s here to stay, especially considering that over a billion people are now using the Google Gemini app. Google proudly called it the fastest growing product in their long history, and they even highlighted that both Apple and Android users are turning towards Google Gemini.
According to Google, there are already over 100 million active Gemini users on iOS, while MacOS power users are prompting on Gemini around two times more frequently than other platforms. Android users meanwhile are using Gemini across over 40 popular apps as it continues to get integrated into the Android ecosystem.
On top of that, Google also revealed that roughly 63% of their users are talking directly to Gemini, with a lot of them being ‘voice only’. Parent in particular are 43% more likely to use voice for everyday tasks, which isn’t too surprising when you consider having to deal with kids and toddlers.
Gemini is also generating over 150 million images everyday, with small businesses in particular using them to create marketing materials, which explains why ever flyer looks the same these days.
Other stats shared by Google include that students are uploading to Gemini more than ever, with 38% of school requests including an attachment; I’m not too sure if helping students do their homework is something to be proud of though.
