Fahmi: Malaysians to get 10GB of free data for National Day and Malaysia Day
Malaysians will be able to enjoy a total of 10GB of mobile data for free, in conjunction with the upcoming National Day and Malaysia Day celebrations. This comes thanks to the Insentif Rebat Rahmah program for National Day and Malaysia Day.
According to Communications Minister Fahmi Fadzil, the Communications Ministry is working together with the five major telcos in Malaysia to make this happen, namely CelcomDigi, Maxis, TM, U Mobile and Yes.
All postpaid and prepaid users in Malaysia that are eligible will get 5GB of free data on 31 August, while on 16 September you’ll get another 5GB.
Fahmi added that the specific redemption methods on how to get this 10GB of free mobile data will be released in detail by the respective telcos involved, subject to terms and conditions.
The minister also noted that an FAQ about the initiative will be published on the Communications Ministry website in due time.
