CMF Clip Pro: Their first open-ear earbuds with up to 32.5 hours of total playback
CMF, the sub-brand by Nothing, has announced the CMF Clip Pro, their first ever open-ear wireless earbuds. Meant for those who prefer to stay in tune with their surroundings while listening to music, open-air earbuds have been gaining traction in recent years, with CMF just the latest to throw their hat into the ring.
According to the brand, the CMF Clip Pro was designed for a more natural listening experience, targeting urban dwellers in busy cities and active lifestyles. It features an ergonomic open-ear, 3-point clip design that they claim distributes the pressure across the ear lobe. Built out of an elastic titanium wire core, the C-bridge flexes to fit any ear shape, with the earbuds themselves weighing in at just 5.9g each.
The actual hardware itself is a 10.8mm dual-magnet dynamic driver, which CMF says has been custom-tuned for a more full-bodied experience with better bass, vocals and highs. In particular, they’ve developed an ‘Ultra Bass Technology’ to compensate for the loss of bass that comes with open-ear buds, which enhances lower frequencies while reducing treble distortion.
As for battery life, CMF claims that the Clip Pro earbuds will be able to offer up to 10 hours of continuous playback on a single charge, with up to 32.5 hours of total playback when you include the charging case. They add that a 10-minute charge will be able to offer up to 4 hours of listening.
Other features of note include Hi-Res Audio certification, support for LDAC, AAC and SBC as well as a quad mic setup for better voice calls, while the charging case features its signature Smart Dial for volume and playback adjustment as well as to answer calls and pair devices; the earbuds themselves have physical controls too. You’ll also find Bluetooth 5.4 and dual device connection, a low latency mode for gaming, Google Fast Pair, Microsoft Swift Pair and an IP54 dust and water resistance rating.
The CMF Clip Pro is priced at GBP79(~RM434.96) in the UK and USD99(~RM404.98) in the US. As for local pricing and availability, the brand has not announced it just yet but has confirmed that it will be coming to Malaysia soon.
