ASUS Malaysia unveils new Vivobook S Series; Price starts RM4,399
ASUS Malaysia has rolled the curtains on its new line of Vivobook S Series laptops. The series consist of two models, the Vivobook S 16 OLED (S5606) and Vivobook 14 OLED (S5406), all of which will come with ASUS Lumina OLED displays.
In regards to performance, the Vivobook S Series will have the benefit of AI-enabled Intel processor chips in the form of either the Intel Core Ultra 7 155H or the Intel Core Ultra 5 125H. This is paired up with a single memory configuration of a 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB SSD. For graphics, the laptops relies on the Intel Arc GPU.
On an AI-related note, there is now a dedicated Copilot key integrated into the keyboard. If you’re unfamiliar with Copilot, this is Windows’ version of an AI assistant that enables access to a full suite of AI-powered tools.
Other noteworthy features is the single-zone RGB keyboard that are customizable via Windows Dynamic Lighting. The touchpads have been enlarged, giving you plenty of space for your fingers to navigate.
Both models come with a 75Wh battery, as well as a full suite of ports consisting of 2x Thunderbolt 4 Type-C ports, 1x USB 3.2 Type-A, 1x HDMI 2.1, 1x MicroSD card reader, and an audio jack.
With so much similarities across the board, the big difference lies in the displays. Despite both models sporting a 16:10 aspect ratio, the Vivobook S 14 OLED is 14-inch and offers WUXGA (1920×1200) resolution as well as maximum 60Hz refresh rates. On the other hand, the Vivobook S 16 OLED is 16-inch, with a higher 3.2K (3200×2000) resolution and 120Hz refresh rates.
Regardless of the model you choose, the displays have 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut and DisplayHDR True Black 600 certification.
As for colours, you will have the choice of Mist Blue, or Black for each model.
With the unveiling done and dusted, the official pricing of the Vivobook S Series have also been announced:

- Vivobook S 14 OLED (S5406), 16GB/512GB, Core Ultra 7 155H – RM4,999
- Vivobook S 16 OLED (S5606), 16GB/512GB, Core Ultra 5 125H – RM4,699
- Vivobook S 16 OLED (S5606), 16GB/512GB, Core Ultra 7 155H – RM5,299
The ASUS Vivobook S 14 OLED and S 16 OLED will be available for purchase starting 29th April. There will be an early bird campaign in which early birds will receive a complimentary Sony SRS-XB100 portable speakers worth RM259, while stocks last.
ASUS has also announced that a 16GB RAM and 1TB storage model of the Vivobook S 16 OLED will be available, but at a later date.
