Asus ExpertBook Ultra with Intel Core Ultra Series 3 now up for pre-order, from RM7,999
Asus Malaysia has unveiled their new Asus ExpertBook Ultra (B9406CAA). This is an endgame laptop meant for C-suit execs with top of the line hardware, a gorgeous display and an ultralight build.
The ExpertBook Ultra is what Asus is calling the ‘flagship of the industry’. It features an aviation-inspired magnesium aluminum chassis that weighs just 0.99kg light and measures a mere 10.9mm thin. There’s also a layer of Nano Ceramic Technology over it for 9H durability protection against scratches and stains, while an excimer UV coating over the keyboard allows for extra smudge resistance.
Under the hood, it’s powered by up to an Intel Core Ultra X7 358H processor with an integrated Intel Arc B390 GPU, an Intel AI Boost NPU capable of up to 50 TOPS and comes with up to 64GB of LPDDR5X memory and up to 2TB of NVMe PCIe 4.0 storage. You’ll also get Windows 11 Pro out of the box, while a 70WHr battery keeps it going for up to 26 hours of use.
The 14-inch touchscreen display meanwhile is a tandem OLED panel pushing a WQXGA+ 2880 x 1800 resolution in a 16:10 aspect ratio, capable of up to 1400nits of peak HDR brightness, full coverage of the DCI-P3 colour gamut, has Pantone and HDR True Black 1000 validations as well as a layer of Corning Gorila Glass Victus and Gorilla Matte over it.
The ExpertBook Ultra boasts a healthy selection of I/O too, with two USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 ports, two Thunderbolt 4 ports, a HDMI 2.1 output and a 3.5mm combo audio jack. Other features of note include a 1080p FHD webcam with Windows Hello support and privacy shutter, 1.5mm of key travel, a haptic touchpad, six speakers with Dolby Atmos, and support for WiFi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 wireless connectivity.
The Asus ExpertBook Ultra is now up for pre-order via the Asus Malaysia website as well as their authorised ExpertBook Official Store by CGI on Shopee and Lazada. It starts at RM7,999, though at time of writing the base model with an Intel Core Ultra 5 is not yet available. The higher specced Intel Core Ultra X7 version is available though at RM9,599 for 32GB of RAM and 1TB of storage, while for RM12,999 you get it with 64GB of RAM and 2TB of storage instead.
Pre-orders from now to 9 June will also come with free gifts worth up to RM799, which include a RM500 Malaysia Airlines gift card and for the first ten buyers, an Asus 100W USB-C GaN charger worth RM299 as well.
