ASUS ExpertBook P1: AI-powered business laptop now available at RM2,799
ASUS Malaysia has announced that their commercial and business-focused laptop, the ASUS ExpertBook P1, is now available to the general public. Featuring a suite of enterprise-grade software and AI-powered features, ASUS says that the ExpertBook P1 is built for modern professionals, and comes in two different screen sizes too.
Weighing in from just 1.4kg, the ExpertBook P1 has been built for durability, meeting the MIL-STD 810H military grade durability standards while also having gone through their own internal testing for up to 10 million keystrokes, up to 50,000 open and close cycles and drops from as high as 120cm onto concrete surfaces. ASUS also claims that the ExpertBook P1 can survive liquid spilled up to 66cc, while its reinforced chassis can take compression forces up to 50kg on the lid and bottom casing.
As for hardware, the ExpertBook P1 features an Intel Core 5 210H processor with 16GB of DDR5 SODIMM memory, upgradable to 64GB, and a 512GB NVMe PCIe 4 SSD. It runs Windows 11 Home out of the box, and comes with TPM 2.0, Absolute Persistence 2.0, Kensington Nano Security Slot and BIOS boosting user protection for extra safety, on top of a fingerprint sensor too integrated into the P1’s touchpad.
You’ll be able to pick between a 14-inch or a 15.6-inch IPS display for your ExpertBook P1; both options come with a 1080p screen capable of 300nits of brightness and covers 45% of the NTSC colour gamut. There’s also stereo speakers with Dirac audio, a built-in microphone and a 720p HD webcam with a privacy shutter. Keeping the lights on meanwhile is a 50Whr battery with 65W charging via USB-C.
As for I/O, the ExpertBook P1 has two USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 ports, two USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 ports, a HDMI 1.4 output, an Ethernet jack and a 3.5mm combo audio jack. There’s support for WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.4 wireless connectivity too.
Part of the ExpertBook P1’s charm is its suite of business-focused AI tools. The P1 comes with ASUS AI ExpertMeet for starters, an on-device AI meeting assistant that helps you take minutes, identify speakers, and provide translated subtitles in real time. That’s on top of its AI noise cancellation feature for better voice calls, an AI-enhanced camera for better video calls and a Watermark feature to protect sensitive information when presenting or sharing screens.
Regardless of which screen size you opt for, the ASUS ExpertBook P1 is priced at RM2,799 and is already available from selected ASUS retailers nationwide. You’ll also get freebies worth up to RM1,917, which include an extended warranty package, a 3-year McAfee subscription, an ASUS backpack and an additional RM40 in Touch ‘n Go eWallet credit if you review the laptop on their ‘Your Voice Matters’ campaign.
