ERL offers 50% off KLIA Transit return tickets to Putrajaya for National Day 2026

Express Rail Link (ERL) is giving Malaysians another reason to take the train to Putrajaya this Merdeka weekend. The company is offering 50% off KLIA Transit return tickets to Putrajaya and Cyberjaya station, making it easier for the public to attend events in Putrajaya, especially for the 2026 National Day Parade.
The promotional fare is valid for travel from 29 to 31 August 2026 on the following return routes:
- KL Sentral ↔ Putrajaya and Cyberjaya
- Bandar Tasik Selatan ↔ Putrajaya and Cyberjaya
- Putrajaya and Cyberjaya ↔ Salak Tinggi
The promo fare is available to both adults and children aged 6 to 15, while children aged 5 and below can travel for free with every adult ticket purchased, up to a maximum of three children per adult. Do note that the promotion does not apply to journeys to or from KLIA Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 and is only valid on KLIA Transit services on the selected travel date.

One thing to sort out early: the discounted tickets can only be bought through the KLIA Ekspres mobile app or the official website with the purchase window runs from 26 to 31 August. So it’s worth booking ahead rather than turning up and hoping to buy on the day.
There are a couple of extras on top too. ERL is handing out an exclusive Merdeka Pack to the first 200 passengers arriving at Putrajaya and Cyberjaya station on 31 August, so an early start could pay off. Once you’re there, free shuttle buses laid on by Prasarana and Perbadanan Putrajaya will ferry you from Putrajaya Sentral to the various event spots around the city.
As for what’s on, the main National Day parade takes place on 31 August, with a full-dress rehearsal on 29 August for those who want a preview, plus other Merdeka attractions like Riuh Merdeka and the Ambang Merdeka 2026 celebration. For the full terms and details, you can check the KLIA Ekspres official website.
