Yayasan MR D.I.Y. teams up with Petronas to boost STEM education in Malaysia

Yayasan MR D.I.Y. has announced a collaboration with Yayasan Petronas and Petronas’ Education and Human Capital Investment Unit to strengthen Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) education in Malaysia.
The initiative combines several programmes, including Karnival Kerjaya STEM and Program Duta Guru (PDG), in support of the goals outlined under the Rancangan Pendidikan Malaysia 2026–2035. The focus is on increasing student participation in STEM fields while helping to prepare a future-ready workforce.
A key part of the collaboration is Yayasan MR D.I.Y.’s ‘STEM Discovery on Wheels’ initiative, which brings hands-on STEM learning activities to students nationwide. As part of the effort, the foundation has contributed 950 STEM kits aimed at making technical learning more accessible and engaging for students.

The program also extended their support to teachers through Yayasan Petronas’ Program Duta Guru by providing additional STEM teaching resources and tools to improve classroom learning. Meanwhile, Karnival Kerjaya STEM is designed to expose students to technical and vocational education pathways, while giving them a better understanding of career opportunities in STEM-related industries.
According to Yayasan MR D.I.Y., its outreach initiatives has benefited close to 400,000 rakyat across Malaysia in 2025 alone. The latest collaboration with Petronas is part of its ongoing efforts to support education and develop a skilled, innovation-driven generation.
