Xiaomi 17T Pro spotted on SIRIM database, local launch may be soon

By PriceShop News April 22, 2026

The Xiaomi 15T series only arrived around September last year, but signs are already pointing to the Xiaomi 17T series making an appearance sooner rather than later. The latest clue comes from Malaysia, where the Xiaomi 17T Pro has now been spotted on the SIRIM certification database.

Listed under the model number 2602EPTC0G, the device received approval on 2 April 2026 with the type approval code RGQL/77K/0326/S(26-1459), and is categorised as a mobile phone. While a SIRIM listing does not confirm an exact launch date, it is usually one of the clearest signs that a device is preparing to enter the local market.

This also isn’t the first time the Xiaomi 17T Pro has shown up online. Previous appearances across IMEI databases, the HyperOS codebase, FCC and NCC listings have already hinted at several of its key specs. Based on those earlier sightings, the phone is expected to come with a camera setup similar to its predecessor, featuring a 50MP main camera, a 50MP telephoto shooter and a 12MP ultra-wide camera, while selfies may be handled by a 32MP front camera.

The Xiaomi 17T Pro is reported to be powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500 chipset. FCC details also point to a fairly complete connectivity package, including WCDMA, GSM, LTE, 5G NR, WiFi 6E, Bluetooth, NFC and GNSS. Storage options meanwhile could include 12GB RAM paired with either 256GB, 512GB or even 1TB of storage, with the phone also expected to run HyperOS 3 based on Android 16.

For now, there is still no official confirmation from Xiaomi on pricing, availability or launch timing for the local market. Still, if recent certifications are anything to go by, the Xiaomi 17T Pro looks increasingly likely to be one of the brand’s next smartphones headed to Malaysia.
