PriceShop - Top 5 Laptops for Students in Malaysia

In this article, we’ll be recommending our list of top 5 laptops suitable for primary and high school students priced below RM2,000.

Before diving into our recommendations, we highly encourage you to take a look at our Buyer’s Guide to select the best laptops for students.

Note: This list is NOT arranged in any particular order.

1. Acer Chromebook 311 C733-C8R2

Price: ~RM 1,200

Chromebooks have become increasingly popular in recent days as an affordable laptop option for primary and secondary school students (at time of writing, many of the Chromebooks are currently out of stock).

For those who are new to Chromebooks, in layman terms, they are a minimalist laptop that operates on Chrome OS instead of the more popular Windows or Mac OS. With that said, Chromebooks are fairly limited in functions, mainly allowing users to run browser-based applications.

With Google’s suite of solutions ranging from Google Docs, Sheets and Slides to Google Hangouts, it is safe to say that it will be sufficient for most students in the primary and secondary level. On top of that, as the Chrome OS continues to mature, more and more android applications are also supported.
