We’ve already seen the PlayStation 5 and then the Nintendo Switch 2 prices go up, and now it’s the Steam Deck’s turn to get a price hike.

Valve has announced that the Steam Deck OLED is back in stock, but with a heavy price increase across the board. The 512GB Steam Deck OLED has gone up by USD240, while the 1TB Steam Deck OLED is now up by USD300. Here’s the new prices for the Steam Deck OLED:

  • Steam Deck OLED 512GB: Now $789 USD; CAD 1,129; EUR 779; GBP 649; AUD 1,199; PLN 3,279
  • Steam Deck OLED 1TB: Now $949 USD; CAD 1,349; EUR 919; GBP 779; AUD 1,429; PLN 3,879

Unsurprisingly, Valve has confirmed that the Steam Deck OLED pricing has gone up due to rising memory and storage costs. The Steam Deck itself has not received any hardware updates; the new prices are due to the ongoing component costs as well as the additional global logistical challenges happening throughout the world.

Of course, Malaysians weren’t able to purchase a Steam Deck via the Steam store anyway as Valve never made it available here, but this does affect the secondhand market too which trickles down to Malaysia. If you’ve been looking to get a Steam Deck on Facebook Marketplace or from stores like CeX, you might wanna act quick before the resellers raise their price too.
