Tabung Haji temporarily suspends services after detecting suspicious cyber activity

Tabung Haji (TH) has temporarily suspended its services to depositors after detecting suspicious cyber activity on its systems on 7 October 2026. In a statement, the pilgrimage fund said the suspension is a precautionary measure while it carries out a full check of all its systems.
According to TH, the move is necessary to protect depositors’ interests and ensure its systems remain secure. The fund is also working closely with the National Cyber Security Agency (NACSA) and CyberSecurity Malaysia to deal with the matter.

Sebagai langkah pencegahan dan pengukuhan keselamatan berterusan, TH kini sedang melaksanakan pemantauan menyeluruh terhadap semua sistem TH yang melibatkan penggantungan sementara ke atas perkhidmatan kepada pendeposit. Langkah ini perlu bagi melindungi kepentingan pendeposit dan memastikan keselamatan sistem TH terus terpelihara. TH juga sedang bekerjasama rapat dengan agensi berkaitan, termasuk Agensi Keselamatan Siber Negara dan CyberSecurity Malaysia bagi menangani perkara ini. TH memahami kesulitan yang mungkin dihadapi oleh pendeposit dan memohon maaf atas gangguan ini. TH ingin menegaskan simpanan dan data peribadi pendeposit kekal selamat dan terpelihara. Keselamatan simpanan dan maklumat pendeposit sentiasa menjadi keutamaan TH. TH akan memaklumkan perkembangan terkini, termasuk status pemulihan perkhidmatan, melalui saluran rasmi dari semasa ke semasa. More importantly for depositors, TH stressed that their savings and personal data remain safe and protected. The fund also apologised for the disruption, adding that the security of depositors’ savings and information is always its top priority.
That said, TH didn’t specify which services have been affected, nor did it give a timeline on when they will be back up and running. It also hasn’t shared what kind of cyber activity was detected. In the meantime, depositors with any questions can reach the TH Contact Centre at 03-6207 1919.
