Snapdragon Summit 2026 happening on 22-24 Sept, will we see the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6?

Another year, another Snapdragon Summit confirmed. Qualcomm has announced that it will be hosting its Snapdragon Summit event for 2026 on 22-24 September in Maui, Hawaii, and we can expect to see plenty of new products from them this year.
The main highlight will of course be the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 and its lineup of variants such as the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro. This is set to be a 2nm system-on-chip, likely bringing plenty of performance and efficiency gains compared to the current crop of flagship mobile processors. They’re also expected to continue featuring their custom Oryon CPU cores, a new Adreno GPU and perhaps even support for faster LPDDR6 memory.

Indeed, we might even see more 3nm chipsets crop up at Snapdragon Summit this year. Rumours from leaker Digital Chat Station seem to suggest that a step down 3nm Snapdragon Elite Gen 5 variant could appear later this year, as well as a Snapdragon 8 Gen 6 that drops the ‘Elite’ moniker by likely trading away some performance for lower costs.
Incidentally, this might also be a hint towards when Xiaomi will be annoucing their Xiaomi 18 series in China. The Chinese tech giant has traditionally been one of the earliest to follow Snapdragon Summit with a new flagship smartphone powered by the new Snapdragon chipset, and it seems that there’s even a chance that the Xiaomi 18 launch will be happening on the same day too, though we’ll have to wait and see for that.
