ROG Zephyrus G14 and G16 specs

Starting off with the ROG Zephyrus G14, we have a CNC-millled aluminum chassis that measures just 1.59cm thin and weighs in at a mere 1.5kg. That’s pretty impressive considering that it packs up to an Intel Core Ultra 9 386H with up to 64GB of RAM, up to a 2TB SSD and up to an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 graphics card. Do note though that the base model actually comes with an AMD Ryzen AI 9 465, with 16GB of RAM, a 1TB SSD and an RTX 5060.

As for the ROG Zephyrus G16, it comes in fully Intel flavoured machines, with all models running the Intel Core Ultra 9 386H. That’s paired with up to 64GB of RAM, up to a 2TB SSD and up to an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090. Keeping it cool is a vapour chamber cooling system with a triple fan setup and enhanced exhaust vents on the bottom.

Regardless of whether you opt for the 14-inch or 16-inch laptop, they’re both ROG Nebula HDR OLED panels with up to 1100nits peak HDR brightness, the brightest OLED panels in a gaming laptop. The G14 gets a 3K resolution, 120Hz refresh rate panel while the larger G16 comes with a 2.5K, 240Hz panel instead. Both offer a 0.2ms response time, full coverage of the DCI-P3 colour gamut and support for Nvidia G-Sync, on top of a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass with DXC for reduced reflections.

Other features of note include a six speaker setup on both the G14 and G16, new and improved EasyLift hinges, Slash Lighting across the lid with 35 lighting zones, and USB-C ports with support for up to Thunderbolt 4, DisplayPort output and 100W power delivery, along with a pair of USB-A 3.2 ports, HDMI output and up to a full sized SD card reader.
