Minister of Transport Malaysia Anthony Loke has announced that Malaysians will be able to renew their driver’s licence and road tax via the MyJPJ app starting February 1st.

The initiative will save the public time and costs, ultimately reducing waiting times and workloads off road transport department (JPJ) counters.

To encourage online renewals, those renewing their driver’s licence or road tax via the MyJPJ app will receive an RM5 rebate from the government. The rebate offer will run until the 31st of December 2024.

This comes just under a year since the ministry made digital versions of driver’s licences accessible via the MyJPJ app. Additionally, road tax can also be accessed digitally through the same application.

If you have yet to download the MyJPJ app, you can do so on the Google Play Store, Apple App Store, and on the Huawei App Gallery.
