eBeliaRahmah applications will open 26 June for Malaysian youths

Malaysian students can begin to apply for eBeliaRahmah on the 26th of June at 8AM, with applications closing officially on the 22nd of August; as confirmed on the official eBeliaRahmah page put up by the Ministry of Finance (MoF).

eBeliaRahmah is an initiative by the Malaysian government to aid Malaysian youths with a one-off transfer of RM200 eWallet credits.

There are three participating eWallets in the initiative: Touch ‘n Go, Boost, and Setel.

If your application is successful, RM200 eWallet credits will be transferred into the eWallet of your choice. However, the credits must be used by the 31st of August, after which it will expire.

Who can apply for eBeliaRahmah?

Malaysian youths who turn age 18-20 in the year 2023 (those born in 2003-2005) can apply for eBeliaRahmah.

Full-time students who have an active status prior to April 30, 2023 are also eligible to apply. Students must be studying in institutions recognized by relevant government ministries listed below.

• Ministry of Education (Kementerian Pendidikan)
• Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security (Kementerian Pertanian dan Keterjaminan Makanan)
• Ministry of Defense (Kementerian Pertahanan)
• Ministry of Rural and Regional Development (Kementerian Kemajuan Desa dan Wilayah)
• Ministry of Youth and Sports (Kementerian Belia dan Sukan)
• Ministry of Human Resource (Kementerian Sumber Manusia)
• Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture (Kementerian Pelancongan, Seni dan Budaya)
• Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (Jabatan Kemajuan Islam Malaysia)

How do I apply for eBeliaRahmah?

You can apply for eBeliaRahmah by following the steps below.

1. Download one of the following e-wallet platforms from the Apple Store, Google Play Store, or Huawei AppGallery:
   1. Boost
   2. Setel
   3. Touch ‘n Go eWallet
2. For new or existing users, follow the instructions provided in the respective e-wallet application. The e-wallet service provider will perform electronic Know-Your-Customer (eKYC) identity verification.
3. Fill in the required information on the eBeliaRahmah redemption screen and press “Submit” in the downloaded e-wallet application.
4. Your application status will be notified within 3 days.

Do note that you can only apply for eBeliaRahmah on one eWallet provider.

What can I use the RM200 credits for?

The RM200 eWallet credits can be used at any merchant that supports QR payment for the participating eWallets (Touch ‘n Go, Boost, and Setel). It cannot be used for the following purposes:

• peer-to-peer transfer
• cash redemptions
• utility bill payments integrated with e-wallet application
• government-related fees payment integrated with e-wallet application
• postpaid and prepaid telecommunications bill integrated with e-wallet application
• purchase of games integrated with e-wallet application
• parking feels or tolls
• investment-related activities integrated with e-wallet application
• e-commerce transactions or online transactions
