REDMI Note 17 Pro Max 5G: Massive 10,000mAh battery, up to 3 days of use, from RM1,999
Having already announced the pre-order for the REDMI Note 17 Pro Max 5G, Xiaomi’s latest premium midranger is finally here in Malaysia. It not only has a large display and fresh design but also one of the largest battery capacities that Xiaomi has ever put into a smartphone.

Priced at RM1,999 for the base model with 256GB of storage and RM2,299 for the 512GB configuration, the REDMI Note 17 Pro Max 5G is available from 5 September onwards with an early bird promo lasting till 30 September which drops the price down to RM1,799 and RM2,099 respectively.
Available from the Xiaomi Malaysia website as well as their official store on Shopee, Lazada and TikTok Shop, if you do get one before the end of the month you’ll also get a free pair of REDMI Headphones Neo, 5 years of battery warranty, 3 years screen protection, 2 years liquid damage protection, 2 years back cover warranty, 2 years quality warranty, 2 months of YouTube Premium and 6 months of Google One.
REDMI Note 17 Pro Max 5G specs
As mentioned earlier, the star of the show here really is that massive 10,000mAh battery, with Xiaomi even claiming that the REDMI Note 17 Pro Max 5G will be able to sustain itself for up to 3 days of use. Even once you’ve fully drained it, you can fast charge it back up with its 100W wired HyperCharge fast charging, or even use it to power up your accessories with 27W reverse charging support.
The display meanwhile is a 6.83-inch AMOLED display pushing a 2772 x 1280 resolution, with an up to 120Hz refresh rate, a peak brightness of 3500nits, full coverage of the DCI-P3 colour gamut and support for HDR10+ and Dolby Vision. You’ll also find a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 over it for scratch resistance.
Under the hood, the REDMI Note 17 Pro Max 5G comes with a Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 system-on-chip, a 4nm midrange mobile chipset that’s been paired to up to 8GB of LPDDR5X memory and up to 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage. It’ll also come with Android 16 out of the box, skinned with HyperOS 3 over it.
As for its cameras, the REDMI Note 17 Pro Max 5G comes with a main 50MP, f/1.5 camera with optical image stabilisation flanked by an 8MP, f/2.2 ultrawide shooter, while up front is a 32MP, f/2.2 selfie shooter.
Other features of note include dual speakers with 400% volume boost and Dolby Atmos, an in-display fingerprint sensor, support for WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 6.0 wireless connectivity, along with an IP66/68/69/69K dust and water resistance rating.
