This is yet another collection in the C series which will include the Mini Capsule. To recap, the Mini Capsule is a pop-up feature which wraps around the front camera to display notifications. It first appeared in the C55, and has been such a hit that realme have decided to implement this Mini Capsule into all the upcoming C series phones this year.

For now, the Mini Capsule on the C53 will only show battery levels. However, realme says you can expect to see data usage as well as step stats in the coming updates.

realme will release the C53 in a single 6GB+128GB memory configuration. However, you can pile on another 6GB of Dynamic RAM, bringing you a total of 12GB RAM (6GB+6GB DRE). Furthermore, storage is expandable up to 2TB (yes, TWO) via MicroSD card.

You’ll have an ample 5,000mAh battery supporting 33W SUPERVOOC charging. According to realme, this will juice up your C53 to 50% in just 31 minutes.

For display, the C53 will sport a 6.74″ screen with 90Hz refresh rates and 450nits peak brightness. At the top of the screen is a teardrop notch which houses the 8MP selfie camera. This is also where the Mini Capsule will pop up when activated.

Leading the dual rear camera setup is a 50MP main camera, flanked by a B&W lens with an f/3.0 aperture. There is side fingerprint sensor, as well as a 150% UltraBoom speakers.

Apple WWDC 2023: iOS 17 to roll-out later this year

By Timothy Teoh June 06, 2023

Aside from the Vision Pro headset and 15″ MacBook Air, Apple has announced the new and improved iOS 17 at the WWDC 2023.

The iOS 17 will roll-out to iPhone users later this year, but Apple was gracious enough to give us an extensive preview of all the features that will come with it.

There’s plenty to digest, but we’ll start first with NameDrop. This is essentially AirDrop but for contact numbers. You simply need to hold your iPhone next to the other person’s iPhone or Apple Watch to conveniently exchange numbers.

Additionally, you can also AirDrop just by holding two phones together. Don’t worry, you don’t have to stay there for long. Once the transfer is initiated, you can both step away and your files will continue to download.

You can now also customize what others see when you make a call through your unique Contact Poster. On that note, Live Voicemail allows you to see a live transcript of a voicemail so you can decide if it’s worth picking up or not.

Example of Contact Posters which you can do on the iOS 17

The concept is brought over to FaceTime as well, where you can now leave a video message if the person you are calling doesn’t pick up.

Audio messages you receive will also be transcribed if for whatever reason you can’t play the recording in the moment.

A much-welcomed feature on the iOS 17 is Sensitive Content Warning. It’s normal for social media apps to have these. But Apple has decided to take a page off that book and apply warnings to Messages, AirDrop, Contact Posters, FaceTime messages, as well as third-party apps.

Siri also just got more convenient…by one syllable. You no longer have to add “hey” anymore to activate Siri, just call her by the first name and proceed with your demands.

There’s loads more to the iOS 17 than what’s mentioned above. Some other neat features include a Check In function to notify friends and family when you’ve arrived at your destination; a StandBy feature that turns your iPhone into a clock or music player when it’s charging; as well as a new Journal app.

Apple will begin the iOS 17 roll out later this year. You can find out if your iPhone is eligible for the update below.
