realme C53 with Mini Capsule will launch on June 6 in Malaysia

May 31, 2023

realme has confirmed that its latest entry-level offering, the C53, will launch in Malaysia on June 6th.

It wasn’t too long ago when realme unveiled the C55 with ‘Android’s First Mini Capsule.’ To refresh your memory, the Mini Capsule is a pop-up feature which appears to look like the Dynamic Island on the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max.

You can read more about the Mini Capsule here.

Apparently, the Mini Capsule was such a hit that realme has decided to implement it as a mainstay for all other upcoming C series phones this year.

The same goes for the C53.

For now, the Mini Capsule on the C53 will only display battery status, with data usage and step tracking available in the near future.

realme C53 specs

Despite not being officially launched yet, realme already has the C53 product page up on its website.

The realme C53 will pack a 5,000mAh battery with 33W SUPERVOOC charging. It will come with up to 6GB of built-in RAM, with the option of piling on another 6GB through Dynamic RAM Expansion (DRE); bringing the total up to 12GB RAM.

You’ll have 128GB of storage for use, expandable to up to 2TB (yes, you read that right) via microSD card.

If you’re wondering why the C53 looks familiar, well it’s because it does. That camera layout bears a striking resemblance to a certain iPhone 14 Pro. But that’s as far as similarities can go.

The C53 leads with a 50MP primary camera, flanked by one other unspecified camera which we can only assume is a depth camera. At the front is an 8MP selfie camera in a teardrop format.

Aside from that, the realme C53 sports a 6.74″ display with 90Hz refresh rates and 560nits peak brightness. It also features a side-fingerprint sensor.

The C53 is available in two colours: Champion Gold, and Mighty Black.
