Realme begins teasing the C100 series for Malaysia, features a 7000mAh battery

Realme has begun teasing their upcoming smartphones, the C100 series. These are entry-level smartphones that the Chinese manufacturer claims are positioned as a ‘durable champion’, thanks in part to their large battery capacities.

The Realme C100 series is set to feature up to 7,000mAh battery capacities, some of the largest in its class. In comparison, Realme says that most competitors in the entry-level segment typically come with batteries around the 5,000mAh mark. With its large battery in tow, Realme claims that the C100 series will be able to offer all-day battery life and more.

On top of that, Realme says that the C100 series was designed for food delivery riders too, which its rugged durability accompanying its long battery life. They say the C100 series is able to withstand daily life on the road, along with uncertain weather. That’s on top of the several ‘flagship-level’ features that the C100 series will offer too.

For what it’s worth, the Realme C100 5G has debuted in Thailand already. There, the Realme C100 comes with a similar 7,000mAh battery along with support for 45W fast charging and reverse 6.5W wired charging. There’s also a 6.8-inch LCD display pushing a HD+ resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate, while under the hood is a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 system-on-chip. Other features include a 50MP main camera, a 5MP selfie shooter and IP64 dust and water resistance.

Realme Malaysia has not confirmed the full specifications and pricing for the C100 series so far, but we can at least glean some information from our neighbours. In Thailand, the Realme C100 starts at THB 6,999 (~RM846) for the base model with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, while for THB 7,499 (~RM906.44) you get 6GB of memory instead.
